All of this news makes me so sad. Maybe not all. I do like Helman. But our ace pitcher going down when we have a shot at the postseason and one of our best hitters going on the IL at the same time, sucks!

Joc Pederson’s regular season is over. The Rangers placed the DH on the 10-day IL with a left wrist fracture, retroactive to September 19.

Pederson was hit by a pitch on September 12 at Arizona. He finishes the year hitting .235 with 26 home runs and 53 RBI, including 17 homers since June 23.

INF/OF Michael Helman has been activated from the 60-day IL after missing three months with a right finger fracture, and RHP Cal Quantrill was moved to the 60-day IL, effectively eliminating the possibility of a playoff return.

@skostyboi One of the things he does that is frustrating, doesn't challenge enough. Though, I noticed a lot of the guys don't challenge when they should. Sometimes, it turns out ok.
