Thanks to our amazing donors $17,643 was raised for the Blossom House during #TheBlossomEffect. We've fallen short of our goal but remain committed to providing girls with a refuge. Thank you to all that have continued to support the Blossom House.
We are excited to announce the Blossom Program’s expansion in 2023

Too many families are having to make the heartbreaking choice between education for their children and food for the family. #strongertogether#sponsorsuccess https://t.co/51kQcpknn8
With little opportunity Huong, was only able to earn $43/month and was struggling to hold on to hope. After training she applied for a loan & now owns 2 pigs. With pride she said, "I will sell them when they grow up & use the income to invest in more pigs and chickens too".
With a smile on her face, Hien enthusiastically shows off her chickens & ducks who are now healthier thanks to simple and natural techniques using garlic & "effective microorganisms" she learned during an HSCV training event. Healthier poultry = more income for her family.
The bright faces of children are the motivation for us to accomplish our works. Supporting disadvantaged children to have a better life and a brighter future will always be the motto of HSCV. Happy International Children's Day!

We are saying goodbye to our Social Worker, Mrs. Thao, who dedicated herself to the girls at the Blossom House for the past 5 years. We wish her the best on her next endeavor and can’t wait to see what she does next. #TheBlossomEffect
With the largest COVID-19 outbreak to date, Blossom House's girls have gone back to 100% online learning. Things are different for children in rural areas. Without facilities and internet, they are at risk of falling behind and dropping out of school.

The Social Workers at the Blossom House, organized workshops with appropriate sex education content for our youngest girls, including sex-ed, child abuse, internet safety, and so on to raise awareness and equip the girls with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves.
"Linh" currently lives with her parents and an older brother who suffers from congenital paralysis. The small amount of money earned from rice cultivation is not enough to meet the basic daily needs of the whole family.

Microloans are being provided to 19 women who have been participating in training over the past 12 months. The loans will allow the women to start small businesses of their own by putting their new skills to work.
Funding for the loans and training provided in part by @hanoiiwc
Lock and Lock Vietnam answered our call for support during the recent COVID-19 outbreaks in Vietnam. Their donation of 1736 household items, these gifts of solidarity will provide a much needed boost during these difficult times.
2020 was a year full of obstacles and setbacks but HSCV remains determined to support those in need in Vietnam.
Thanks to our donors, children stayed in school, girls had a safe place to live, women were educated, & communities grew stronger.

This year’s Tet gifts from SIS Gamuda of rice, noodles, cooking oil, spices & household items were given to 50 households with a member with a disability. With limited income the gifts will alleviate some of the recent difficulties and help lift their spirts.
