Spotlight on: Claire Gillingham, a proud member of our program. Her love of singing, playing, dancing and visual art plays a big part of her life. Claire has incredible memories with VIVA and has enjoyed performing locally & at Carnegie Hall, NYC. Making music makes memories 🥰
Spotlight on: Nick Young! This senior has sang in choir for 4 years and says his confidence and kindness has grown since grade 9 with the compassion and support of Ms. Carroll. His plans are to attend MUN, but even through new studies he knows music will remain close to his heart
Spotlight on Peter Noel: a graduating student who has enjoyed singing with the bass section in our choir for the past two years. His most memorable choir moment is visiting the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City and ending up at a table with Ms. Carroll, Ms. Jardine and Mr. Cowley
Spotlight on: Molly Power ! Molly is a grade 9 student. She sings soprano, likes to dance and play piano. Her favourite memory of choir is the christmas concert ❤️🥰
Spotlight on: Maria O’Neill! Outside of singing second soprano in VIVA Maria sings with Shallaway, loves photography, arts, and earth sciences. Her fav choir memory was going to NYC with all of her best friends
Spotlight on: Jaden Rose. This grade 11 is our newest Tenor! His favourite choir memory is the first day he joined, and his favourite part of choir is meeting new people. Over quarantine Jaden has been practicing guitar, listening to music, biology, and having backyard fires!
Spotlight on: Sera Tulk! This grade 9 alto enjoys passing time with painting and spends hours on each piece. She hopes to be able to paint one of the school ceiling tiles one day! Sera says when she’s not painting, you’ll find her chilling with her cat, playing video games 😽
Spotlight on: Abby Briffett. This grade 11 alto says her fav choir memory is seeing Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway in NYC and her favourite part of choir is getting to perform in different places for different people! Abby is also currently working on her Grade 8 RCM voice exam ❤️
Spotlight on: Leah Hurley! Leah is in grade 10 and sings second soprano. Her favourite pastimes are synchronized swimming, thrifting, and listening to music. Her favourite part of choir is the people in it and how we all support each other, also traveling! ☺️
