Today, we honor the memory of Officer Butler, who lost his life due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash while responding to an accident call on Memorial Parkway near Oakwood Avenue.

HPD Officer Frank McKissack
End of Watch: May 26, 1916
On May 26, 1916, at 2:20 a.m., Officer McKissack was shot while stopping two men near the Huntsville Depot. Critically wounded, he shot back, hitting the gunman. His partner made the arrest.
HPD's STRIKE Unit completed their first annual Memorial Day Murph Challenge on Friday, May 22.
