I understand your point on this. However, we also need to think beyond black-and-white options. The younger generation growing up abroad is often caught between loyalty to their ancestral land, which may not lead to much success, and loyalty to their Western-born countries, which could offer greater opportunities. They also have to consider their personal futures, and I don't blame them for that.
