Every month this year, I intend to give away a full class set of one book via @ANewChapterBks - I truly believe a full class set is one of the most valuable resources a teacher can have when teaching reading.

No faff to enter, just retweet and consider yourself in.

How to subtly send this to my nearest and dearest hoping one of them buys it for me ?

[Miss Stokes @HStokesEng]

How is this not inciting hatred on an already marginalised group?? I’m so completely baffled that this vitriol can be spouted and face no consequences. It’s even applauded?!

[Miss Stokes @HStokesEng]

If I was to spout off something as hateful as this in my place of work, I would (rightfully) face consequences. As a teacher, I’m in a position of power and of influence; what I say holds some weight. Compare this to the PRIME MINISTER - how is he even allowed to say this?

[Sky News @SkyNews]

'We shouldn't be bullied into believing people can be any sex they want to be, they can't. A man is a man and a woman is a woman', says Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Finished it in a matter of hours, nothing short of addictive. Heartbreaking and hilarious in equal measure

Past me preordered this book in March and somehow knew it would be the ideal addition to this weekend. Grateful for past me!

An absolutely brilliant night at the theatre watching @mincemeatlive, I've never laughed so much at a musical! If you're in London, you MUST go!!

@KarenStyling The struggle is so very real, Karen💔

[Miss Stokes @HStokesEng]

Less than a week before returning to school and I've ventured to Costa to do some marking. A lady sits at the table next to me and remarks "you've had the same idea as me" and brings out her own pile of marking. But teachers get so many holidays, don't we ! 🥲
