Our last Forest School session! We painted butterflies,decorated their wings with natural materials we found in Ecoland and made a butterfly feeder.Thank you for the lovely party food.Have a safe and happy Summer.#HTAforestschool

We harvested potatoes, washed, counted and cooked them.We collected herbs and edible petals to mix with butter that we made to have with our potatoes that we cooked on the fire.HTAForestschool

We enjoyed free playing in the sunshine.Bug hunting,obstacle course,potions and water slides.We made and ate salad sandwiches too#HTAforestschool

Our wildflower meadow is full of lots of different grasses.We made clay tiles imprinted with the grass heads and painted using grass.We made and lit a fire and toasted marshmallows and we enjoyed listening to a story.#HTAforestschool

We went on a bug hunt then made our own bugs using clay.We harvested rhubarb prepared it and made a fire ,cooked and ate rhubarb and custard delicious #HTAForestschool

Years 3/4 F had a very creative Forest School afternoon finding out about the insects in Ecoland.We made Ikebana insects inspired by the artist Raku Inoue using plants and flowers.#HTAforestschool

We made seedy bread and cooked it on the fire.Then sowed salad leaves,cress and beans. We have taken them home to care for them and watch them grow. We made watering cans using empty milk containers, then made seed mosaics.#HTAForestschool

We are ready for the coronation.We made crowns with natural materials, put up a palace, made cooked and ate Welsh cakes.

Years 3/4 D/D have transformed our old Willow Dome into a Bug Town.Using natural materials we have moved and revamped old bug hotels and made more homes for insects and other creatures to move into.#HTAForestschool

We noticed the blossom on the trees and made our own.Then painted using blossom.We used petals and stones to print bunting .Then we made and lit a fire to toast marshmallows over.#Forestschool

Dragons!! We made our own dragon using a stick and other natural materials then a wand and potion to help train our dragons.We picked cooked and ate young Spring nettles while we listened to a story.#HTAForestschool

All about eggs! Decorating egg shaped leaves and eggs.We built an egg run and had a lot of fun rolling our decorated eggs.We hunted for chocolate eggs and enjoyed hot cross buns.#HTAForestschool

Seeds. Now is the time to start sowing.We planted seed potatoes,sweet corn made seed mosaics and flower seed bombs Then cooked and ate beans on toast #HTAforestschool

Using natural materials we made our mummy’s faces then made and decorated clay hearts ready to give on Mothering Sunday.We toasted marshmallows putting them between chocolate biscuits and listening to a story together.#HTAforestschool

During our Eco Retreat afternoon we found out how litter that finds its way into rivers, seas and oceans harms the creatures that live there.Lots of animals mistake plastics for their food! Foundation 2 year and Yr1K made some posters and artwork.#Eco-Schools

We used daffodils to paint with then made nesting bags and nests from clay and natural materials. It was cold and sleeting so we had hot chocolate and an indoor picnic in the hut. #HTAForestschool

This morning we made pancakes using natural materials.
Then made a batter and cooked pancakes on the fire followed by a pancake race.
