@darrensharp73@RabG1988@liverbird17 Iv taken mine out multiple times. Eldest achieved some of the highest GCSE grades in his year and the youngest is predicted similar. Whilst education is important, they learn lots from travelling and life is too short to not take opportunities to make memories.
@VedCoxWil@itsgrimupnorthx Absolutely, but he isn't going to drop down to league one. He would also command a fee. With the new spending rules and sound bites around bringing the youth through, I don't think we will be paying any significant transfer fees this summer. Frees and loans mainly.
@VedCoxWil@itsgrimupnorthx Beasley isn't a good footballer but we have made the mistake of trying to fill the side with good footballers rather than finding players who can complement one another. Wayne Alison wasn't a good footballer. We need a battering ram. Jatta would cost more than we will pay.
@itsgrimupnorthx@VedCoxWil Feel free to suggest some alternative centre forwards who match what we need and fit within our budget. I think many town fans are going to be disappointed this close season due to delusions of grandeur.
@VedCoxWil This in a struggling Burton side. He is no world beater but what he would be is cover / alternative to Bojan and cheap too which is what we need.
@itsgrimupnorthx Some players improve with age. This in a struggling Burton side. He is no world beater but what he would be is cover / alternative to Bojan and cheap too which is what we need.
@CarmichaelDave@HMSHTAFC I was encouraged when KN previously gave the impression he was willing to listen & learn about how English football works
Your response suggests he is intransigent in terms of how he responds to critical fans, which is a shame
Id hope any owner prioritises the club's reputation
@CarmichaelDave@HMSHTAFC May I suggest as Nagle's PR advisor you should probably be at least setting an example and ideally advising Kevin against responding to fans, no matter how silly they might be. The repeated ownership/fan spats are not good PR for the club. Its never too late for a fresh approach.
@HTFTV8 I agree with not accepting mediocrity, but it will be down to whether we can get a tune out of the players already here. Anyone expecting lots of incomings is going to be disappointed.
@HTFTV8 Will struggle as most are on high wages so even if other clubs are interested, they wont match their terms so the player will refuse the move. We shouldnt have paid these wages in the 1st place but you cant undo the past, hence it is what it is. Moaning about it won't change owt.
@VedCoxWil Ye definitely bought a dud in Low. I think we will be making the best of the loan market. Kev will be tightening purse strings now especially with the new rules. The loans of Kay and Taylor were as much about getting the wage bill down. Hopefully a tight budget focusses minds.
Made my thoughts pretty clear on this one, but I'd be boring myself if I repeated them again. Hope Drury proves me wrong.
As always il back the guy in charge and il be glass half full and giddt as a kipper come the start of the season. π₯³
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Martin Drury as Head Coach of the Menβs First Team.

@VedCoxWil A big target man centre forward would be my priority. When Bojan was missing we struggled. Sebine not ready yet. I can't see us adding many, but I'd also be keen to get a proper winger or 2 in, and a decent central defender to replace Feeney.
