@themoderateman9@esjesjesj "Borders are made up and can arbitrarily change or multiply or disappear if we wanted them to" - Is that better?
They're imaginary lines on the ground, not divinely ordained tangible immovable objects.
@CampbellxEmma My girlfriend made my dachshund/pit mix a scarf last year. (The hoodie is off the shelf.) The greyhound/lab and poodle are fine in the cold, but the pitties are fuckin' bald. No protection at all.
UK, Japan, and the US (but only military bases because they don't give a shit about citizens) all encouraging stockpiling necessities out of "routine preparedness," all within weeks of each other. I'm sure it's fine. Very cool and normal. Nothing to worry about. Pics unrelated.
@CampbellxEmma Glasgow in 2004 is what my city is aiming for, like that would be a WILD success after years of ranking as the worst city in the country. We're actually pretty on track! The murders are way down from a high of 4.5x Glasgow's worst year.
@CampbellxEmma God I love working from home and having cameras and very loud guard dogs and house armor and immediate access to notoriously reliable firearms.
@CampbellxEmma Hmmm. I'd been led to believe that carrying lockpicks is illegal there. Unless you're a locksmith. What if food, safety, shelter, medicine, or someone in need is behind a locked door? Problem.
Penny Pit Bull fucking loves wearing things. It's almost time for dog jacket weather.
@CampbellxEmma Like. If someone comes at you with a machete. Like. What are you supposed to ~doooo~? Die? Hope you run faster?
The solution to that problem cost me $500, took 10 minutes to acquire, and has been in my pocket literally 24/7 for 6 years.
@CampbellxEmma I have flashlights and battery banks galore but it never occurred to me to get wind up lights. Brilliant, pun intended. My first aid situation is mediocre.
I'm not saying the US makes a ton of sense, look at all the murder, but your country's stance on self-defense is baffling.
@CampbellxEmma I'll be like "let me in, dude. I'm cool and normal and can be trusted with illegal things" and they'll be like "wow okay that sounds reasonable, please buy property."
@CampbellxEmma "Let's see, you wrote that your dog..."
Used to kill other dogs for a living, yeah. She's cool now.
"You... teach a monthly lockpicking course?"
Yeah.
"How many bullets can each of your rifles hold at once?"
Anything above 60 is a weight issue.
"What is a... Flipper Zero?"
@CampbellxEmma I've thought a lot about moving to Scotland. A lot a lot. But half the things in my pockets, my absolutely banger AK-47 collection, and my favorite dog are illegal in Scotland. And I really like those things.
@CampbellxEmma Uuuuuhhhhhhhh. Hmmmmm.
I have food, water, guns, bullets, cameras. All of my windows and doors are burglar-, locksmith-, and even SWAT-proof.
My one weakness is electricity. Really hard to work up the courage to spend $40K on solar + battery.
