@407Gardens@MikeTSinger lol ND is a top 5 program currently. Arguably top 3. The majority of the ND fan base that follows recruiting was fairly underwhelmed with this kid being the choice for 2028 QB. They don’t need a 5* kid given the 2 QB’s we landed ahead of him, but should do better than this IMO.
@USCTrojansFTFO@BuckeyeNatty He played well vs Miami and A&M, especially considering those were the first two starts of his entire career. Only game he played awful in was vs USC (not even a good D). Fortunately it didn’t matter bc even 1 dimensional ND was able to beat SC by 2 scores.
@FightOnTony@JohnMassingale4 Go look at class rankings while Chad was running things at ND vs the last 2 cycles (2026 and 2027 classes) under his replacement Mike Martin.
@USCTrojansFTFO@AKidNamedTerrel@JohnMassingale4 I’ve enjoyed witnessing them dominate one of the best rivalries in college football to the point that the Trojans had to tuck their tails and run away in shame.
@OVOAggie@BoardGeniuses@ATXsandman I mean there’s a million students there, so obviously there are gonna be a few good looking girls. I’d rank A&M fairly far down the list if we are debating Texas schools and hottest women, though.
@BoardGeniuses I mean this is actually a valid question. The answer is simply $$$, though. Prior to the NIL era, A&M was not recruiting anything like this. Good on them for taking advantage of the current situation, but that’s pretty much what it boils down to.
@Bradley35586289@BoardGeniuses lol the flukiest win of all time and all non-Aggies know ND got hosed on that final play of the game. And your answer doesn’t mean a whole lot given that ND beat A&M at Kyle Field for 2 scores just a season prior. It was a fun series though and wish it would continue.
@ImakeBirdies_69@JohnMassingale4 I think he is? Not like he was saying the kid isn’t a good player or anything. It’s a tough loss for ND bc he’s a great prospect and seemed like a done deal just a few days ago. That’s the way it goes sometimes in modern era big boy recruiting, unfortunately!
@Younderwould@Rottinghaus_P@JosephJ_The_Man@Barty1985@CodyC64@TexasTechFB@TexasTech Insane amount of spin here. They obviously wanted him to play & planned on doing just that. Doesn’t seem weird to you that Tech fans are the only ones that see this issue differently? The rest of the entire sports world is in agreement here, which is unheard of this day & age.
@maskoff247@BBorohomie@On3@PeteNakos And was then torched as bad or worse the following game vs A&M when our starting nickel was hurt and unavailable. Got benched after that 0-2 start and never played again. He found at new home at FSU this offseason lol.
@Jimmy_Dfrom903@_evan_worle@JohnEMulkey@bmarcello Is it shocking to anyone at this point why Tech isn’t a highly regarded academic school? Should 100% be dis refuted as an institution based on what we’ve witnessed from fans and alumni on social media the past 24 hours. Beyond embarrassing.
@drunktortilla@TheTunnel_Texas@finebaum Doesn’t Joey literally have a DUI on his record? Tech fans, coaches, donors, etc really don’t spend even a split second thinking before running their mouths and digging a bigger hole for their beloved institution of higher learning.
@Beardasaurus1@Steven505rule@dallasnews You’re either too young to remember the Penn State & Baylor scandals or you simply didn’t care enough to tune in to the coverage & backlash that ensued. The PSU stuff was front page news for weeks & weeks on end. Art Briles was fired at Baylor & several players kicked off team.
