The confidence that carried JFK to the White House was cultivated long before he entered politics.

At the Kennedy family dinner table in Brookline, children were expected to debate, defend their opinions, and know the world around them.

Don’t miss Ep. 7 of Homes of Our History ⬇️

Episode 7: John F. Kennedy’s Childhood Home 🇺🇸

On May 29, 1917, John F. Kennedy was born in an upstairs bedroom at 83 Beals Street in Brookline, Massachusetts.

HUD reached a Voluntary Compliance Agreement with Multnomah County to end race-based prioritization of homeless assistance.

The county’s DEI scoring system is being eliminated. Affected applicants will be reevaluated solely on need.

Taxpayer funds must serve people based on need, not identity.

Local best practices are unlocking innovation so affordable housing supply can increase.

[Scott Turner @SecretaryTurner]

HUD is tearing down regulations to free up innovation — so builders can build and buyers can buy.

[Department of Housing and Urban Development @HUDgov]

.@POTUS’ executive order creates a task force to make factory-built homes higher quality and cheaper by using modern manufacturing methods, so they can qualify for federal housing programs.

Today’s action will unburden our private sector from red tape — allowing them to bring much needed housing supply to market.

[Scott Turner @SecretaryTurner]

President Trump continues to unlock the American Dream for American families.

This action will unleash our private sector, boost manufactured housing supply, and increase housing affordability across the country.

Thank you, @POTUS!

[Department of Housing and Urban Development @HUDgov]

President Trump just signed an executive order establishing a task force to create a whole-of-government approach to ensure our nation is modernizing Federal housing programs to accommodate for innovations in manufactured housing.

@SecretaryTurner will now co-chair the Task Force on Manufactured Housing Innovation to unleash more affordable and innovative housing.

[Scott Turner @SecretaryTurner]

President Trump is a builder, and today he is committing to bring even more innovative and affordable housing solutions to market for the American people.

The Task Force on Manufactured Housing Innovation will continue to slash red tape, unleash private sector innovation, and deliver housing affordability for American families.

After Housing First failed, Treatment First is working to end addiction and equip the homeless to live lives of self-sufficiency.

[Department of Housing and Urban Development @HUDgov]

The Trump Administration is taking action to put American families first.

Under @POTUS and @SecScottBessent, we are restoring the path to the American Dream of homeownership.

Reminder – We ended regulations that were adding over $100,000 to the cost of building homes.

[Department of Housing and Urban Development @HUDgov]

We’re restoring local control and cutting the red tape that has driven up housing costs.

[Department of Housing and Urban Development @HUDgov]

The failed Housing First model measured success by units filled and tax dollars spent — while the homeless perished.

Under President Trump, we are focused on restoring people to lives of self-sufficiency.

[Department of Housing and Urban Development @HUDgov]

Years of Housing First policies in New York have produced the same result: growing encampments that harm neighborhoods and fail the people living in them.

HUD is requiring measurable outcomes and prioritizing treatment, recovery, and pathways to self-sufficiency.

[Scott Turner @SecretaryTurner]

The Bronx’s “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” is what a failed Housing First model looks like.

Not only is it an eyesore, it also shows that permanent street living isn’t the answer.

HUD is ending this status quo.

.@SecretaryTurner joined @RepMonicaDLC to mark the Disabled Veterans Housing Support Act becoming law under President Trump.

No more counting disability pay against veterans who need housing help.

Promises made and promises kept for the men and women who served. 🇺🇸

[Scott Turner @SecretaryTurner]

Great to stand with @RepMonicaDLC as we celebrate the Disabled Veterans Housing Support Act, which @POTUS signed into law.

This means wounded veterans won’t have their disability benefits counted against them when they need HUD housing help. 🇺🇸

[Department of Housing and Urban Development @HUDgov]

The Trump Administration is expanding housing affordability options for more American families.

In South Texas, @SecretaryTurner highlighted HUD’s efforts to help more families achieve the American Dream of homeownership.

[Department of Housing and Urban Development @HUDgov]

.@SecretaryTurner explains why HUD ended AFFH: The rule did not build a single home. It buried communities in paperwork.

Under President Trump, we restored flexibility to localities that understand their own needs better than Washington.

📍 McAllen, Texas

@SecretaryTurner sat down with @RepMonicaDLC and the Rio Grande Valley Builders Association for a fireside chat focused on housing affordability in South Texas and preventing veteran homelessness.

[Department of Housing and Urban Development @HUDgov]

📍 Edinburg, Texas

@SecretaryTurner toured Jaguar Heights with @RepMonicaDLC — a public-private partnership and the area’s first community land trust pilot.

This community land trust pilot is helping more families move from renting to owning while keeping homes affordable for the long term.
