I think the most unfair comp for DP is Kobe…stylistically they’re different & personality is polar opposite..Kobe had a loud confidence about him straight out of HS, DP has a calm quiet confidence to him (Kawhi like)
Darryn Peterson or AJ Dybantsa⁉️⁉️
@albertoeghim of @NoCeilingsNBA would be stressed out if he were Washington 😅
- describes Peterson as an “absolute freak” and a “killer”
- but Dybantsa has REALLY been working on his outside shot and will be “terrifying”

Brian Windhorst said the expectation was always that Trae Young would opt out of his contract and re-sign with Washington.
"He's going to re-sign with the Wizards, likely on a three-year, very large contract.”

For Wiz fans trying to determine which way Winger/Dawkins are leaning I’d just like to point out that the organization as a whole LOVES Kyshawn George.
Take that info for whatever it’s worth.
I actually think the Wizards situation works really well for him.
DP has proven to be highly effective off-ball and Trae isn’t the PG of the future, he’s the PG for the next few years. Plus, you can’t slot a defensive liability next to Trae and DP has tons of upside there too.
Darryn Peterson told me at the #NBADraft Combine that he thought it was “pretty cool” the Wizards focused on him as a person, not just a basketball player.
Being that Washington is the only team he’s working out for, that approach may have left an impression. 👀 @dbltakesports
