TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT COMMISSION
GREAT IFE STUDENT UNION
OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY, ILE-IFE

NOTICE TO ALL OAU STUDENTS

This is to inform all students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) that counterfeit versions of the OAU Shuttle Transport ticket are currently in circulation and are reportedly being sold by some vendors.

Attached to this notice are images of both the original ticket and the fake version to help students identify the differences.

Some of the key differences to note include:

-Imprint: On the original ticket, the imprinted words run continuously and clearly across the bus and tricycle icons. On the fake ticket, the imprinted words do not run across these icons, indicating that it is a manipulated or photoshopped reproduction.
-Colour quality: The original ticket has a deeper, richer colour appearance, while the fake ticket appears lighter and washed out, giving it a photoshopped look.
-Logo: Students should carefully observe the logo located at the top left corner of the ticket, as there are noticeable differences between the original and the fake versions.
-Top border line: The top line on the fake ticket is noticeably thicker than that of the original ticket.

Students are strongly advised to carefully inspect tickets before making any purchase and to avoid buying from unauthorised or suspicious vendors.

We urge everyone to remain vigilant and help prevent the circulation of these counterfeit tickets by reporting any suspected cases to the appropriate authorities.

Efforts are already underway to address this issue, and further updates will be communicated to the university community in due course.

Stay alert. Verify before you buy.
