The west end of the Heritage Building parking lot will be closed tomorrow, Friday September 15th, to prepare for the Beats and Eats event in Heritage Park tomorrow night. Public Safety asks that vehicles in the west end of the lot be moved before curfew tonight.

Please be aware that as temperatures have risen, ice has begun to melt off of roofs on campus.This can result in sheets of ice falling near building entrances. Please use caution as you approach buildings on campus.
Please exercise caution when walking near or around the edges, entrances, or exits of buildings on campus with sloped roofs. As accumulated snow and ice on sloped roofs begins to melt, it is possible for heavy sections to fall.
Sunshine and warmer temps are starting to melt the snow. This is causing roads to become even more slippery. Please use extra caution while driving. Pedestrians, please do not walk in the roadways. The slick roads make it harder for vehicles to stop or move past you.
If the storm spawns a tornado with Searcy in its path, HUDPS will utilize our emergency notification system to send messages via text, cell phone calls and emails to alert the Harding community. Each notification provides specifics about the emergency and safety precautions.
The effects of Hurricane Laura will make its way through Arkansas later today. The storm brings the potential for heavy rainfall, gusty winds, flash flooding and possible tornadoes to Arkansas. If flash flooding occurs, please do not attempt to drive through flooded areas.
