Today in Poplar we have started a new unit in maths. We explored money, identifying the values of each coin/note. We role played buying and selling items, needing to give exact amounts and also giving change.

In Geographers we have been learning about human and physical geography. Today, we were looking at the different parts of river, as well as the importance of rivers.

Today as mathematicians, Poplar class have been using hundredth counters and frames to support them in calculating with decimals up to and bridging one tenth.

Today in Poplar class, we had a lovely afternoon sharing stories with our reading buddies from Elm class.

Yesterday, as Geographers, we explored the different climate zones around the world. We then used iPads to research a country in each zone and, based on this, created a travel guide for each country.

Today as linguists, Poplar class have been learning the French words for different body parts, as well as describing our hair length and style, our eye colour and our height. We also learnt Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in French.
