Proud to join environmental leaders to honor Lynn Werner with the 2025 Conservation Hero Award from the CT Land Conservation Council. She’s been a fearless, fierce advocate as leader of the Housatonic Valley Association. And so effective in protecting CT natural treasures.
Check out these incredible photos captured by Richard Stone at the Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust eagle-viewing field trip last weekend! We had a great time, and we'll be keeping our eyes out for more #eagles along the #HousatonicRiver this season!

I'm thrilled to announce the preservation of 1,364 acres of land in Winchester through the Highlands Conservation Act. I commend @HVAtoday for their efforts to advance this project so residents have access to safe drinking water and recreational opportunities across the region.
So great to join with open space advocates from all throughout Connecticut last week to celebrate 20 years of the federal Highlands conservation program. I've been leading the right to protect and expand this program in Congress.
