As long as the mind continues to be viewed as territory to be claimed by experts, suffering continues to be turned into a commodity to be “treated” by licensed professionals, and doctors continue to be seen as the go-to source for solutions (medical, social, or otherwise), we will remain disabled as individuals and communities. That being said, it’s good to see shifting coverage on these issues in the media.
