Practice isn’t supposed to feel easy or comfortable.
If it does, you’re probably not at the right challenge point to truly improve.
Shift your mindset:
From being frustrated or intimidated by hard practice
To embracing it.
That’s when real progress begins
3️⃣ Your weight stays back at impact
If your weight is still on your trail foot when you strike it,
your low point has to be behind the ball.
Clean contact needs pressure forward.
2️⃣ Your ball position has drifted too far forward
As the ball creeps closer to your lead foot,
you remove the downward part of the swing.
Result: bottoming out early → fat shots.
1️⃣ You’re trying to “lift” the ball
Irons aren’t picked clean or scooped.
Good players hit ball first, then turf.
If your intention is wrong, your strike will be too.
Every winter golfers say:
“The fairways are soft, that’s why I’m hitting it heavy.”
But nothing about your swing magically changed.
You were just getting away with it in summer.
