🚨 Google is closing Android’s last open door.
Starting next year: no sideloading “unverified apps.
Here’s what it means 👇
For users:
- F-Droid apps harder to install
- Custom APKs blocked
- Google decides what runs on your phone
For devs:
- Must reveal real identity to Google
- Privacy-first & anon devs locked out
- Fewer independent apps, more gatekeeping
This isn’t about security. It’s about control.
If you live in the EU, a Dane created a website to check your country’s and EU parliament representatives’ stance on Chat Control.
Act now if you’re concerned about privacy.

Die Bundesregierung (BMI, BMJV, BMWE, BMDS, BMBFSFJ) entscheidet bis August - werdet jetzt laut! https://t.co/dWaIg8jO8z
@Pirat_Nation EU:
> We want to be sovereign and independent from US tech giants
Also EU:
> Our ID verification system relies on US tech giants
They should go back to regulating bottle caps and bankrupting small milk producers.
@gnukeith We'll be doing it eventually anyway, but I'll make this commitment right now:
If someone gets an online petition together with 1000 people saying they'd switch to Proton VPN if we supported Monero then I guarantee that I'll get it crowbarred into the Summer roadmap.

Irony in Monero's case comes from the way governments and financial institutions react to it.
Privacy is a basic right, yet Monero is often criticized or restricted for protecting it.
Cash transactions are legal, but digital cash like Monero is seen as suspicious.
Governments demand transparency from citizens, while their own finances remain opaque.
Bitcoin was praised for decentralization, yet surveillance agencies love it because of its public ledger.
Monero isn’t about breaking laws, it’s about keeping financial privacy in the hands of individuals.
The real irony? The same institutions that claim to protect privacy and freedom are the first to attack the one tool that actually does.
Anyone posting links to Wikipedia to show that Israel isn’t evil should also post a disclaimer that the Israeli Govt employs thousands of Wikipedia and social media editors to manipulate history and opinion. Israel is the number one manipulator of Wikipedia and social media.
This is a crime against humanity.
Where is the International Criminal Court?
What is the ICC waiting for to issue arrest warrants against Israeli genociders?!

Mark Zuckerberg just admitted three things:
1. Biden-Harris Admin "pressured" Facebook to censor Americans.
2. Facebook censored Americans.
3. Facebook throttled the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Big win for free speech.
