We've aware there has been some booking issues for #IconMembers for this event. We have spoken to the events team and more spaces will be added next week when they are back in the office - please do check back & we look forward to seeing you on 6th June @Conservators_UK
@thecwordpodcast 4. Invitingly tactile mixed materials such as large pieces of furniture with special finishes - boulework, marquetry, lacquerwork etc
these are just some we can think of straight away - anyone want to add anymore?
@thecwordpodcast Interesting poll @thecwordpodcast - the most touched thing in a historic house?
1. The backs of chairs and tables being leant on is something that's often noted. There's a subconscious need to lean against something if standing in a room for any length of time. .....
@thecwordpodcast 2. Sculptures - generally but marble / stone quite often
3. Fabrics - the more tactile looking the more tempting and obviously curtains in windows get a lot of brushing up against without people necessarily be aware....
We are sold out for in person tickets for @V_and_A and @nationaltrust Public Country House conference, but there are still spaces available online and for free! https://t.co/Mg9TphLTfG
