The other one now is the Cult of Jon, which was a FedEx standee that first got googly eyes, then stickers, then ppl started leaving offerings. Now there are ppl who dress as nuns, etc.

@amblingsoul @DragonCon Once upon a time the Marriott had a carpet that was this pattern. It was trippy, wild, and unique. In 2013 some cosplayers who dressed up in 'marriott carpet camo' -it was still a mild thing until 2015 when the carpet was torn out and replaced. Now it has a MASSIVE cult following

I started going to #DragonCon in 2004. There were only 2 hotels then. This year was my 18th DragonCon & even at half capacity, it spread across 5 hotels & 6 different floors of a multi-use convention space.

It truly is the best con and I'll have a ton more photos to post soon.
