School rang my mum today saying there’s been an incident with my little sister “a boy has called her an autistic spaz” (she is actually autistic) then teacher goes “Tilly responded with at least I don’t have to dip my Oreos in water because my mum forgets to buy milk” 🤣🤣🤣
Hot take: I actually like when people bring up how they relate to my situation. I don’t assume they’re trying to steal the spotlight or one-up me. I see it as a person trying to help however they can by connecting & being vulnerable w me, as we should if we want community

I really hate being mad or not being on good terms with people I love. But I’m so over people treating me like shit, when I’m really a good ass person, so I’m done w/ that.
Just because a student does not raise their hand, does not mean that they are not thinking deeply about the content. We need to broaden what we mean by engagement in our classrooms/schools. This will invite/value more students in the learning process.
