Today, we look back with grateful hearts as we celebrate 59 years of marriage.

It feels like yesterday that we began this journey together. Through the years, we have experienced seasons of joy, challenges, growth, answered prayers and countless reasons to give God thanks.

We have learnt that marriage is not just about the beautiful moments. It is about choosing each other every day, giving room for growth, showing patience, forgiving, praying together and trusting God through every season.

Above all, we are grateful that God has been at the centre of our home. Every step of the way, He has remained faithful.

As we celebrate 59 years together, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving to God and appreciation for everyone who has loved, prayed for and supported us and our family over the years.

We are grateful for the journey so far, and we look forward to all that God still has in store.

For an organisation whose core is developing locally grounded evidence for decision-makers to take informed action on social and gender issues, doing that work well means occasionally taking a closer look at Invictus Africa's approach and how to strengthen it.

This is what informed our 3-day Organisational Mapping Tool (OMT) exercise.

It gave us more clarity on how we work, helped identify key gaps, and refined our approach to delivering evidence to the people who have the power and resources to make change happen.

We are deeply grateful to Mr Obrian Nyamucherera (@ObrianF) for facilitating the sessions, and to our board members for their valuable contributions, engagement, and insights throughout the process.

These insights continue to guide how we strengthen our systems and deepen our alignment with our organisational goals.

33 days of families waiting for answers, and communities carrying the weight of uncertainty.

Since the Chibok abduction in 2014, Nigeria (@NigeriaGov) has recorded 25 school abductions.
This chart provides a snapshot of every recorded school abduction since Chibok, highlighting where they occurred, how many children were taken, and the status of those abducted.

We join Nigerians in calling for the safe return of the children in captivity and for sustained efforts to strengthen school safety, protect learners, and ensure that every child can access education without fear.
