BREAKING: Metro’s board of directors votes unanimously to approve a plan that calls for the Red Line to become fully automated, meaning trains could run without operators. Metro leaders caution the project is dependent on federal money-the earliest it could launch is 2032. #wmata
Landed in DC for the @APTA_info Legislative Conference.
Took the Silver Line in from Dulles—my first time riding this line I watched come to life years ago, built by people I’m proud to call friends.
A good reminder: the best investments take time, partnership, and a clear view of where things are headed.
Looking forward to the week ahead. #APTAleg26
NEWS that Congressional staff are not going to like- Delta is suspending its special congressional desk service for members of Congress until the shutdown is over. @ajc https://t.co/q2w4VIkK7p
The Cadets from Old Dominion University who stopped an active shooter, received 8 Meritorious Service Medals. Two of them received Purple Hearts…from the Sergeant Major of the Army and the Secretary of the Army.
Absolutely amazing and well deserved.
New: @united CEO Scott Kirby send a long note to employees and seeks to differentiate the airline and Delta from other competitors: “United and Delta represented ~100% of the total US industry profitability last year. That means that higher oil puts a lot more stress on United’s competitors and that stress happens faster. We have the time and the luxury to ride this out and stay focused on the long term”
I was saddened to learn that three members of the 121st Air Refueling Wing at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base lost their lives while serving in Operation Epic Fury. My thoughts are with their families, their fellow airmen, and the entire Columbus community.
Early in my career, I worked with private and public sector leaders to develop @RickIntlAirport into what is now a thriving inland port and logistics hub. Even then, it was clear that the airport is more than an economic engine—it’s also home to the men and women of the armed forces who quietly support critical missions around the world.
Grateful for their service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

Even with record snowfall and near-zero temperatures, @IndyGoBus Purple Line delivered—getting me to my Board of Public Works meeting on time. Thanks to @IndyDPW and @afscmelocal725 for keeping our city moving! #inwx#transit#snow
#Bears president/CEO Kevin Warren says the team will expand its stadium search — including Northwest Indiana — after Illinois state leadership told the Bears their proposed Arlington Heights stadium will not be a priority in 2026.
Tonight I called 911 again (not for us) and I was put on hold for FIVE minutes. No triage, straight to a hold.
@IndyMayorJoe@MCSO_IN@IndyCouncil…How is this acceptable?
This has given me a lot to think about…this should never happen in a city like ours.
Nothing like calling 911 because your neighbor's house is being broken into (while he's home) and being put on hold. I hope @IndyMayorJoe's $1.2b budget passed by the @IndyCouncil this week includes funding for more dispatchers. @fanningINDY@impd@MCSO_IN
