it is a shame to see that poeple with this must hate and hurt inside of them still exist. this man was a great teacher who kept his private marriage away from the classroom. Being hateful is the opposite of being catholic. with every word you say, you dissapoint our God further.

The hs English teacher who started me on the path to the English degree I'll receive in a few weeks didn't have his teaching contract renewed after someone sent his marriage certificate to the Archdiocese, calling out his gay marriage. He taught there 23 years. @AlterHS: Shame.

This is one of the times I feel that God is truly hurt by the decisions made by their Church. One of my favorite teachers at Alter, Jim Zimmerman, was not offered a contact because of his love for a man rather than a woman. I hope that we can take a stand as a community for him.
