Nobody knows Maria Hill died because 95% of the fanbase couldn't even make it through Episode 1 of Secret Invasion, and the other 5% scrubbed it from their memory out of self-defense.

1. Wasted an 11-year OG character: Maria Hill survived Loki, the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D., Ultron, and Thanos, just to getfridged in the last 30 seconds of Episode 1 for zero payoff.

2. Ruined the best crossover comic: Secret Invasion in the comics was an Avengers level paranoia thriller. On Disney+, it was Nick Fury walking around gray rooms looking tired for six weeks before flying back to space like nothing happened.

Even Marvel pretends it didn't happen: The show ended with the US President declaring open hunting season on aliens across Earth, and every single MCU project since has completely ignored it.

If Maria Hill walked back onto a helicarrier in Avengers: Doomsday with zero explanation, nobody would even question it because nobody watched this show anyway 💀.
