2. Ksh. 1 Billion for construction of cancer Unit at the Kisii Referral Hospital .

PENSIONS DEPARTMENT SET TO DIGITIZE OPERATIONS TO ENHANCE SERVICE DELIVERY
The Principal Secretary, Public Investments and Assets Management (SDPIAM) Mr. Cyrell Wagunda has today been apprised on the progress of developing the Online Pension Management Information System (PMIS) by the Pensions Department.
The System which ensures timely, accurate and transparent pensions administration is aimed at accelerating processing of pensions for retired civil servants.
During the briefing spearheaded by Mr. Michael Kagika, the Secretary of Pensions, the System which is web-based, end-to-end digital platform for managing, processing and monitoring payment of pension electronically shall eliminate the tedious manual process.
Among the key features and aspects of the PMIS are; End-to-End integration, real-time tracking, automated claims processing and simplified payment processes.
The automated system ensures seamless transition from the manual, paper-based process to a synchronized digital platform, ending long delays and enhancing accuracy for registered pensioners.
In his remarks, PS Wagunda appreciated the team effort in developing PMIS and expressed optimism in the successful implementation of the system scheduled for roll out in the coming weeks.
In attendance were Dr. Bahati Mwita, SDPIAM Secretary Administration and senior leadership from the Pensions Department.
