After much thought and discussion, we've decided to close HabboHub. We’re incredibly grateful for the dedication and effort put into making this fansite a success, from staff and community members alike. Your hard work and passion have been the heart of HabboHub, and we can’t thank you enough for that.

This decision wasn’t easy, but we believe it’s the right time to step back. We appreciate everything and the overwhelming support we’ve received on this journey.

Rhyss here! I wanted to clear up a few things following the closure announcement, as we've had a lot of questions from other communities and via DMs. So, here's a brief FAQ to address them.

What happened?
In short, a lot. The main issue is that we no longer have the time needed to properly dedicate to the site. We could’ve carried on scraping by, but it felt like we were only doing it half-heartedly. Personally, I’d rather leave behind a positive legacy than have people say, “Wow, they really went downhill.” I'd be lying if I said the current state of Origins didn’t play a role in this decision, too. I do hope the project picks up, but even if it does, I don’t foresee HabboHub returning.

Are you quitting Habbo/Origins?
I can’t speak for others, but my time in the hotel was already on the decline before we closed. I still enjoy hopping on for a few games now and then, but adult life has taken over. I’m not fully quitting though—I love the community and will continue chatting and playing when I can.

Can I buy the site/Are you selling it?
TL;DR: No.
We’re not interested in selling HabboHub. There are various reasons, but primarily, we don’t feel comfortable with the brand continuing without us. The legacy will remain ours.
