Celebrated my return to the slopes today. 🎿 Chronic, often debilitating, knee pain had me ready to accept that skiing no longer was an option, but God had another plan. Feeling mighty blessed.🥰
This “young” oak (less than 20 years) outside our living room window seems to come into full color after the rest of the trees have peaked & dropped their leaves. God saves the best for last.

Hubby saw the blood moon rise, in full eclipse, around 20:40. Glad we had the binoculars we bought for last year’s trip to Norway; our iPhone cameras were pretty useless.
As I chilled at the gondola summit at Pila, reading a book about the Alps, hubby took the Chamole lift to the next level and snapped this pic of the Aosta Valley. 🥰

Temp was 89F (more than 31C) in the shade when this photo was taken. The creek in our yard may look inviting, but not so much when you know what lurks in those waters: crawdads, snakes and fish that will nibble on your bits.😳
Another milestone today, as we officially cancelled our subscription to TBN - my employer of 25 years. The final straw: an email notifying us of a “temporary” increase of $11.99 per month, attributed to inflation & global tariffs. Our unadjusted rate would top $100 a month. Nope.
“Planted” our lower window boxes today. And, by planted, we mean we unwrapped a carton of artificial stems and stuck them in styrofoam. Our valley location receives minimal natural light, so …
