@darrengrimes 2/2.. the mobility section of PIP not only looks at the physical function of its claimants, but also psychosocial aspects, eg anxiety when out in public or the ability to plan a journey safely

@darrengrimes 1/2..He will be entitled to enhanced mobility rate of PIP. You can choose to receive this paid into your bank account or sacrifice it for a vehicle instead. The cars he is looking at will also require an upfront payment, probably around £2.5k which he will need to fund himself
