@jcavet@racheljanfaza@davidhogg111 The difference between millennials and Gen Z is basically negligible. Millennials alone are not saving this country, itโs gonna take us too
URGENT๐จ: Weโre witnessing unprecedented voter suppression here in Brazil. Far-right governors are targeting the poor & the marginalized โ & shutting down their access to polling stations. We must wake up! Whether itโs Trump or Bolsonaro, authoritarians fear the peopleโs voice!
Hereโs the ad that Iโm referring to. If Andy can pull this off in a R+30 state like Kentucky, then thereโs no excuses for Dems to play into the anti-trans narrative
Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA), quoted by the Washington Sun.
โI think Democrats make a huge mistake when we cede all this ground, when we cede all the terrain around faith and values to Republicans.โ
โWhy would we do that? Especially given the fact that on matters of morality, in my view, theyโve got so much of it wrong.โ

Between Warnock, Talarico, Adam Hamilton. Thereโs a ton of proof religious Dems outperform. Democrats can absolutely be the party of faith, family and country. Democrats went way left on culture and we need to get back to our roots.
@JShellinsky@daveweigel As I make clear in the article, it's pretty clear from the discourse and the choices made in recruitment that Democrats have re-internalized this as a party, at least in its intellectual circles and recruiting picks. Someone like Adam Hamilton was an absolute dream recruit.
@lxeagle17 Look at the comments on any post even vaguely connected to religion, and you get the sneering horde. It's awful. Please, people, have a little messaging discipline.
@lxeagle17 Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were all religious and could talk authentically with religious voters. But a few down-ballot candidates and a lot of Dem voters say awful things about religion that can be off-putting, even to other Dem voters.
@trumwill@lxeagle17 "freak out about non-believers" come on man. Public life is extremely secular, and just about every Christian denomination deals with how to navigate a secular world and remaining true to their faith. Some are more aggressively political but they all understand the dynamic
@lxeagle17 It's not just a numbers thing. Contra what you would expect online, most non-religious people I know are not uncomfortable with religious people while religious people freak out about non-believers.
