A high-turnout, in-depth “Morning with the Governor” session took place during the Network’s Quarterly Workshop of December 12, 2025, with over 100 members and an extended, two-hour exchange with H.E. Governor Karim Souaid.
Facilitated by LPSN President Rima Freiji, the discussion went well beyond the planned format, reflecting the seriousness of the dialogue around the issues facing the formal economy: cash dominance and the dark economy, banking sector restructuring, depositor protection, digital and traceable payments, and the need to anchor financial reform in growth, productivity, and job creation.
Governor Souaid’s transparent and structured engagement underscored the importance of sustained dialogue with an organized, responsible private sector.
The Network will continue - through advocacy and Lebanon Works - to support reforms that restore confidence, protect the formal economy, and enable sustainable growth.
