Over the weekend the former head of Trump's Border Patrol attended a summit with fascists from around the world who are calling for "Weimar solutions" and it for some reason has received almost no press coverage.

Police caught on door camera punching Black woman 12 times in her head—while she was on the ground.
Officer never said a word to her before assault—later claiming she was a "suspicious female in area."
Another officer had to run over and physically stop him from hitting her—or who knows what would have happened.
34-year-old Cherria Moore suffered a broken nose and multiple facial contusions.
"She's a 90-pound woman, why couldn't you tase her if you were really in fear for your life?" her uncle asks.
"Why did you have to beat her with your fists?"
She was initially booked into the Cleveland County Jail—but later fully released with all charges dropped.
Incident occurred in Shelby, North Carolina.
Republicans in North Carolina just proposed a bill that says if a woman is caught with an IUD or attempts to get an abortion then men are allowed to use DEADLY FORCE to try and stop her. They are proposing a bill that will allow men to kill women for using birth control. It’s House Bill 1232. Keith Kidwell is the Republican who proposed the bill. He claims it counts as self defense to use deadly force to stop abortion. This is a man who claims to be pro life. Feel free to give his office a call and let him know how you feel about his opinion.
And for anyone who says “obviously this will never get passed” that’s not the point. The point is it’s fucking insanity that a government official would even try to make a law like this. It’s insanity that there are men out there who are trying to make it legal to kill women for making decisions for their own bodies. This is real and it’s happening right now in front of our eyes.
Is it enough to get rid of Trump, or should all his cabinet members get thrown out, too?
A) Getting rid of Trump is good enough.
or
B) They ALL need to be kicked out.
These quick thoughts by Michael Jochum on the disturbing reason Trump gets as much support as he does is a must-read 👇
I used to wonder how it was possible that Trump could have won in 2016, and then again in 2024, given how emotionally toxic and depraved he is.
I don’t wonder anymore. I think he won for that exact reason. Because he carried at least one broken shard to reflect the broken shards in millions of others.
If you’re a racist, you found your guy. If you’re a misogynist, you found your guy. If money is your only religion, you found your guy. If your heart is armored shut, you found your guy. If you mock the disabled, you found your guy. If intelligence makes you insecure, you found your guy. If you’re a sexual predator, you found your guy. If you trade in humiliation and conspiracy and filth, you found your guy.
If you’ve never done a single hour of emotional inventory, you found your guy. If you cheat, stiff contractors, bankrupt your obligations, and call it savvy, you found your guy. If you lie as easily as you breathe, you found your guy. If cruelty feels like strength, you found your guy. If white grievance is your comfort food, you found your guy. If your ego is a black hole no title can fill, you found your guy. If warmongering fuels your ego, you found your guy, If empathy feels like weakness and dominance feels like oxygen, you found your guy.
If he’d only carried one or two of these pathologies, he might have been dismissed as just another loud, damaged man. But he carried a buffet of them. That was the appeal. Millions could locate themselves somewhere in the wreckage. They didn’t have to agree with all of it. They just had to recognize a piece of themselves in it.
It was never really about him. It was about the validation. The absolution. The permission. He didn’t invent the resentment; he amplified it. He didn’t create the cruelty; he normalized it. He gave millions the intoxicating relief of hearing their ugliest impulses echoed back at rally volume.
Trump is a symptom. The deeper illness is collective. If there’s one sentence that defines his power, it’s this: “He says the things I’m thinking.”
And that’s the part that should chill us.
Because what does it say about us that so many were thinking those things? That tens of millions of Americans harbored resentments so deep, so seething, that they were simply waiting for a demagogue to baptize them as virtue? That after decades of supposed progress on race, gender, and equality, so many white men felt so threatened, so displaced, so furious, that cruelty became a political platform?
Maybe we were living in a fool’s paradise, mistaking silence for healing, politeness for progress.
Now the mask is off. Now we know.
And knowing is a far more dangerous place to stand.

🚨🚨🚨 ICE agents just tear-gassed U.S. Senator Andy Kim at Delaney Hall detention facility in NJ.
Kim was supporting hunger-striking detainees protesting spoiled food, no medical care & extreme heat when federal agents unleashed tear gas & pepper spray.
Kim struggled to breathe & injured his hand in the chaos.
🚨BREAKING: ICE agents were caught on video telling a U.S. born citizen that his driver’s license was not proof of citizenship because “anyone can get that.”
In the video, the man repeatedly told them he was born in the U.S…. In Atlantic City.
He showed them his license.
They dismissed it.
He showed them ANOTHER form of ID.
They STILL kept interrogating him about where he lived, who he lived with, whether Venezuelans lived in his home, who had been in his car, and whether the vehicle was registered to him.
All while illegally detaining him in his car.
And in the end…
The agents admitted they weren’t even looking for the person connected to the car’s registration.
So, why was this U.S. citizen stopped, surrounded, and interrogated in the first place?
The Fourth Amendment does not disappear because agents “suspect” someone might be undocumented.
You do not have to repeatedly prove your citizenship to federal agents because they decided you “look foreign enough” to question.
Yet, this keeps happening to U.S. citizens across the country.
ProPublica obtained a vast cache of IRS information showing how billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk pay little in income tax compared to their massive wealth — sometimes, even nothing.

MAGA: “If you’re here legally, you have nothing to worry about.”
Also MAGA: “Just comply and show your ID.”
The reality:
A U.S. citizen. Born in Colorado. Mother of four. Stopped in Lafayette, Louisiana. Shackled. Detained in an ICE facility anyway.
She showed agents her state-issued ID and Social Security card. ICE reportedly called them “fake,” handcuffed her, chained her ankles, interrogated her, and transported her to a detention center. She was released hours later only after legal intervention.
The lesson is not “show your papers.”
The lesson is that papers don’t protect you when power decides not to read them.
This is not “law and order.”
This is state abuse.

Its wild that Scott DesJarlais (R-TN) doesn’t get more coverage. He’s admitted to multiple affairs with patients while working as a doctor, encouraged a mistress to get an abortion despite being pro-life, and threatened his first ex-wife with a gun multiple times
He’s still been in Congress since 2011
