We lost a dear friend,
Annie De Silva. The ceremony brought ppl together from across the wld, laughing/crying/singing/celebrating Annie’s uniqueness & nrg. She was a radiant light & co-founded the Prana Lounge in Sri Lanka, a lasting legacy. We miss you Annie but carry you w/ us.

@MarkCCrowley Yes agree with that last point 100%. The role of employers as ‘social hubs’ and human ‘connectors’ is more important than ever. The same applies to sports clubs and community groups.

Employers are increasingly turning to temporary workers to maintain flexibility amid ongoing economic uncertainty.

The latest #ReportOnJobs found:

🔹 Permanent placements fell at the fastest rate since July 2025
🔹 Temporary billings rose at the strongest pace in over three years
🔹 Demand for permanent staff weakened, while temp demand stabilised

#JobsOutlook: Employers still plan to hire, but confidence in the decision-making environment has weakened.

Hiring outlooks for both permanent and temporary roles remained positive in February–April 2026, though sentiment eased slightly from the previous quarter.

Key findings:
📉 Confidence in the UK economy fell to net: -43%
📊 Short-term permanent hiring sentiment: net: +5%
📈 Medium-term permanent hiring sentiment rose to net: +7%
📉 Short-term temporary hiring sentiment fell to net: +2%
