O porta-voz oficial do Secretário-Geral da Liga dos Estados Árabes declarou que as autoridades palestinas informaram o Secretariado-Geral sobre a rejeição, por parte das autoridades de ocupação israelenses, da visita que o Sr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretário-Geral da Liga, pretendia fazer aos territórios palestinos ocupados na quarta-feira, dia 8 deste mês, para apoiar a firmeza do povo palestino e para se encontrar com o presidente palestino Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) em Ramallah.

O porta-voz oficial afirmou que o Secretário-Geral Nabil Fahmy escolheu fazer da visita à Autoridade Palestina, nos territórios ocupados, seu primeiro destino no exterior, dada a centralidade da questão palestina, ressaltando que ela permanecerá no topo das prioridades do mundo árabe.

O porta-voz acrescentou que os palestinos estão sofrendo um cerco dentro de suas cidades, cercados por assentamentos cada vez mais extensos e estradas usadas exclusivamente por colonos, estando expostos a qualquer momento à brutalidade e ao terrorismo de colonos fanáticos que contam com a proteção do Estado ocupante, e até mesmo com seu incentivo em muitos casos.

O porta-voz oficial enfatizou a necessidade de responsabilizar Israel pelas contínuas violações contra os palestinos, observando que a defesa da solução de dois Estados exige uma ação real e contínua de todos os países que apoiam uma paz justa, a fim de expor as práticas da ocupação e fortalecer a resiliência do povo palestino, que enfrenta uma repressão sem precedentes e uma violência cada vez mais desenfreada e brutal.

Congratulations to the Egyptian national team and to all Egyptians on a well-earned place in the Round of 16 of the #World_Cup, secured with a heroic performance and an unbreakable spirit. You have made us all proud and once again proven that ambition truly has no limits.

I also extend my congratulations to the Moroccan national team and to all Moroccans for continuing to add to an outstanding legacy in Arab football.

This World Cup marks a historic milestone, with eight Arab teams at the World Cup for the first time, a clear reflection of how far the game in the region has come, and the growing ambition it carries on the global stage.

One of the heartwarming scenes we have witnessed has been the spontaneous celebrations of Arab fans from different countries, rejoicing in each other’s victories as their own. A powerful reminder that what unites us is always greater, and that sport has the unique ability to bring hearts and nations together.

أٌرحب بتوقيع فخامة الرئيس دونالد ترامب وفخامة الرئيس مسعود بيزشكيان على مذكرة التفاهم بين البلدين، واود أن اعرب عن تقديرى البالغ لقيادة وحكمة الرئيس ترامب ولجهوده الصادقة لدعم الامن والاستقرار بالمنطقة، كما اقدر ايضا تفاعل الرئيس بيزشكيان الايجابى وحرصه على التوصل لتفاهمات توافقية.

كما اثمن التنسيق الكامل الذى تم مع الشركاء الإقليميين للوصول لهذه النتيجة المرضية، ونقدر الجهود الدؤوبة التى بذلتها باكستان وقطر وباقى أطراف الرباعية ممثلة فى السعودية وتركيا، للتوصل لمذكرة التفاهم.

آمل أن تشكل هذه الخطوة نقطة تحول رئيسية نحو مرحلة جديدة من التهدئة وبناء الثقة والتعاون المشترك، لتحقيق الأمن والاستقرار المستدامين في المنطقة.

I welcome the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding by His Excellency President Donald Trump and His Excellency President Masoud Pezeshkian. I would like to express my deep appreciation for President Trump’s leadership and wisdom, as well as his sincere efforts to enhance security and stability in the region. I also commend President Pezeshkian’s positive engagement and his commitment to reaching mutually acceptable understandings.

I highly value the full coordination with regional partners to achieve this satisfactory outcome. We appreciate the relentless efforts by Pakistan, Qatar, and the other members of the Quartet, represented by Saudi Arabia and Turkey, in facilitating the conclusion of this Memorandum of Understanding.

I hope that this step will be a major turning point ushering a new phase of de-escalation, confidence-building, and mutual cooperation, leading to lasting security and stability in the region.
