I see rejection now as meaning the programme/theatre/etc. isn’t able to help me at this specific point - rather than seeing it as confirmation that I’m shit.

Such a special evening celebrating the life of the wonderful Joan Brookes who touched the lives of so many staff, artists and friends of BAC over the last 20 years.

There is a benefit to working full time whilst trying to make a career in playwriting - you can move on from rejected scripts when you step into the office the next day. Especially if that office is @battersea_arts
Saša Stanisic’s Where You Come From - not sure if it was the translation or the headspace I’ve been in lately, but I found it slightly disappointing. Little slivers of clarity and beauty throughout. But served a bit cold for me.
