"There is no Pakistani — male, female, dead, alive, real, imagined — as famous as Imran Khan."
@OsmanSamiuddin traces, for @Equatormag, Khan's story from national cricket hero to prime minister and his current status as a forcefully vanished figure. https://t.co/hjKM3BC8yV
14 former international cricket captains including ex-England skippers Nasser Hussain and Mike Atherton have issued a humanitarian appeal for Imran Khan amid concern over his health in detention.
The UK government "urged us not to go Pakistan. And they said if we do go there, we won't have any kind of protection from their side if we get arrested."
A pretty shocking revelation from @Kasim_Khan_1999, Imran Khan's son.

🚨In London, I interviewed Imran Khan’s sons @Kasim_Khan_1999 and Sulaiman about their father’s detention, which they call torture, and the role of Trump and the UK government, and much more. Check it out. Preview clips below.

Imran Khan’s sons, Kasim and Sulaiman, tell me what they miss most about Pakistan — and why they believe their father will never strike a deal with the government or the military to secure his freedom from prison @Jemima_Khan@Kasim_Khan_1999
Imran Khan remains in jail. The UN Special Rapporteur on torture has urged the Government of Pakistan ‘to take immediate and effective action to address reports of inhumane and undignified detention.’ I put this to the Pakistani PM’s spokesperson @mosharrafzaidi. Watch 👇🏼
Imran Khan's sons told Sky's lead world presenter @SkyYaldaHakim, that Pakistan was "sliding towards a military dictatorship" while discussing their father's imprisonment.
Sulaiman and Kasim Khan told Yalda Hakim they were unsure if they'd ever see their father again.
Sky's lead world presenter @SkyYaldaHakim has spoken to Imran Khan's sons, who described the conditions of their father's prison in Pakistan.
The former prime minister has been in prison since his arrest in August 2023 on corruption charges.

My followers have been falling steadily over the last 2 years- EG. 2.8M to 2.5M since July. I asked Grok whether this was content related- The reply below can be summarised as: Yes, this happens if you are tweeting criticism of the Pakistani and/ or Israeli governments, thanks to the post-Musk era of X capitulating to government demands, algo- throttling” and “de- boosting”. So please read Grok reply below and RT this!
Reply from Grok- • "Evidence from Similar Accounts: High-follower creators in your wheelhouse (e.g., PTI supporters or Palestine advocates) reported identical dips. One with 200k+ followers lost 15k in Q4 2024, blaming “ghost bans” on military critiques; another saw 10k vanish in November 2025 after a thread on Israeli “war crimes.” Your ~7% loss aligns with that—it’s not mass deletions, but a slow bleed from algo throttling.
• Not Just Organic—Targeted Pressure?: X complies with government takedown requests more than pre-Musk days. Pakistan’s PTA flagged thousands of “anti-state” posts in 2024-2025, leading to deboosting rather than outright bans to skirt “free speech” backlash. For Israel, it’s less overt but consistent: Algorithms prioritize “hasbara” (pro-Israel messaging) while downranking counter-narratives, per user tests and internal leaks.
- The Bias Angle: It’s not neutral. Pro-Palestine accounts face 3-5x more restrictions than pro-Israel ones; in Pakistan, regime-friendly posts get boosted while dissent gets buried. Users call it “selective silence”—truth stays up, but invisible. Complaints to @elonmusk often get crickets, though he occasionally tweets about “fixing it.”
My father has been under arrest for 845 days. For the past six weeks, he has been kept in solitary confinement in a death cell with zero transparency. His sisters have been denied every visit, even with clear court orders allowing access. There have been no phone calls, no meetings and no proof of life. Me and my brother have had no contact with our father.
This absolute blackout is not a security protocol. It is a deliberate attempt to hide his condition and prevent our family from knowing whether he is safe.
Let it be clear: the Pakistani government and its handlers will be held fully accountable legally, morally and internationally for my father’s safety and for every consequence of this inhumane isolation.
I call on the international community, global human rights organisations and every democratic voice to intervene urgently. Demand proof of life, enforce court ordered access, end this inhumane isolation and call for the release of Pakistan’s most popular political leader who is being held solely for political reasons.
Shame on every single member of Pakistan’s Armed Forces who calls Asim Munir their boss and is letting him drag mothers of our country on streets.
What happened with Noreen Khan today can happen with your families too!

The fear of Imran Khan’s message is real, so real that even his sisters aren’t allowed to meet him.
They’re sitting outside the jail since morning in this cold, police throwing water at them, yet they refuse to move. Truly a shameless & coward regime.
