@sid_lambert Has anyone watched the 2 part ‘Gazza’ documentary on BBC Iplayer world cup channel? Some good insight of GTs emotions watching a poor version of Gazza. Also very good reminder of the state Gazza was in when Hoddle left him out of the ‘98 World Cup squad.
@pauljacques83 Two 2nd half come backs, the one at SJP but as a proper away day outside the region, the trip & 2nd half come back at the Hill Dickinson & scoring 3 in front of the away fans & bringing the European dream within grasp, gets my vote.
@dpgroves6@Terry94023972 And yet Juan (pound) Sartori prevails. And boy does he love a PR opportunity that fella, but he must contribute something, despite his residency in South America.
@JeffAB61@SunderlandAFC For context. The last time we were in Europe I had a paper round. I’m now an old age pensioner! 😂 Sadly too young / poor to go to the away games but I did see both games at Roker despite the club monetising the 1st match and doubling the gate price so less than 25k attended
@peterhook@Jack_Bass_@MancAcademy Quite ironic given JD toured supporting the Buzzcocks the one and only time JD played Newcastle City Hall (which to my eternal regret I missed). Have a great night. Sounds epic.
@JimmyJelly88 I was there with @DJ_Haribo . Absolute bedlam and we were in a sea of Orange in the stand. They took it remarkably well once we managed to stand up again 😂
On my 1st visit to Everton 49 years ago we were relegated. After numerous visits to Goodison after ended in nothing but misery, I placed a self-imposed embargo on any further visits in the mid 00s. I’ve now visited the Hill Dickinson Stadium twice in the same season. 2 wins. 🙌
@Capt_Fishpaste I well remember the days when that would’ve been offside. Simple times before someone thought up not interfering with play then ‘phases’ and you were offside bc you had bigger feet than the defender.
@CharlieFarnsba9@FBAwayDays Currently en-route to the Hill Dickinson for the 2nd time this season. So much better than Goodison ever was as an away fan, qt least they’re remodelling Goodison so hopefully those classic Archibold Leitch designed stands will be kept for posterity, not bulldozed like Roker
@CharlieFarnsba9@FBAwayDays Lost count of the number of old Grounds that meet that criteria. Roker Park. The Boleyn Ground, Highbury, Goodison White Hart Lane, Maine Road, The Dell. I’ve seen some teams playing in 3 different Stadiums in many different tiers of the football pyramid. All with a story to tell
@AmadMackem@FBAwayDays I went there in 2016 to watch Morpeth Town V Hereford in the FA Vase. Hereford Towns mascot is a Bull. And actual Bull. Paraded around the pitch. Morpeth won 4-1 in front of less than 30k people (25k or so from Hereford). It was a cracking weekend out. Especially for the players
@CharlieFarnsba9@TheCasualSniper@FBAwayDays TNT Sports coverage this year started at 9am - for anyone with a subscription. Not sure if it included an FA Cup Final Day its a knockout.
