«توهم توطئه» نقد برخی الگوهای فرهنگی و اجتماعی است. نقد و آسیب‌شناسی یک جامعه، نه سرزنش آن جامعه است و نه انکار نقش حکومت‌ها و قدرت‌های خارجی در سرنوشت آن.

جامعه ما سال‌ها در برابر سرکوب، جنایت و سیاست تفرقه‌افکنی جمهوری اسلامی مقاومت کرده و طبیعی است که از این تجربه طولانی آسیب دیده باشد. دشمن‌سازی، دوگانه «یا با من یا علیه من»، نپذیرفتن خطا، مسئولیت‌گریزی، تخریب صدای متفاوت، نفی موفقیت دیگران، بی‌اعتمادی و تضعیف همبستگی، ابزارهای شناخته‌شده این حکومت برای حفظ قدرت بوده‌اند. خطر از جایی آغاز می‌شود که همین الگوها، ناخواسته، به رفتار سیاسی و اجتماعی ما نیز راه پیدا کنند.

دیدن این آسیب‌ها نشانه ضعف نیست، نشانه بلوغ یک جامعه است. جامعه‌ای که بتواند در کنار ایستادگی در برابر سرکوب، خودش را نیز بی‌هراس نقد کند، امکان بیشتری برای ساختن آینده‌ای آزاد دارد.

برای پایان دادن به جمهوری اسلامی و ایدئولوژی آن، تنها کنار رفتن ساختار قدرت کافی نیست؛ باید الگوهای فکری و رفتاری‌ای که استبداد از آنها تغذیه می‌کند را نیز کنار گذاشت.

«توهم توطئه» تلاشی برای گرفتن همین آینه در برابر خودمان است؛ نه برای محکوم کردن جامعه، بلکه برای اینکه آنچه مانع اعتماد، همبستگی و آزادی می‌شود دیده و اصلاح شود.
