Among the 32 Yazidi genocide victims identified were the remains of my friend’s brother, @haiderelias, who dedicated a decade to tirelessly supporting survivors and victims. My deepest condolences to Haider and the families of these 32 victims.

As we are approaching the 10th anniversary of the @Yazidi genocide, here are some facts that are hard to believe:
-After 10 years of this genocide we still have approximately 55,000 families in refugee camps (IDP) in Kurdistan region of Iraq.
-Approximately 19,500 families have returned to Sinjar but not necessarily in their own hometowns.
-We still have approximately 2,600 men, women and children missing (majority of them in Syria).
-Approximately 95,000 have left the country seeking a safe haven for their families
