I can still feel how those walls, chairs and couches feel. I can even smell the hallways. My building was split with a Spanish ward when I was in young women so the hallways smelled like frijoles and tortillas. I can still hear the squeakiness of the wax floor of the gym or hiding behind those big red curtains when I didn't want to go class. I can remember being baptized and the missionary having to dunk me over and over. 😂 I remember the taste of the cookie I got afterward and taking pictures with the missionary. I can smell the Chlorine in the water while doing baptisms for the dead. I remember how bland the church rooms where and how the office was like they were. I have so many memories.
I sometimes look at my children and how they will have a different childhood. One full of Jesus Christ and giving praise to Him only. It puts a smile on my face when they teach me a new song about Jesus from their group class at church. I don't have to worry about them learning a false gospel or them having to worry about man made expectations or traditions. I may not be able to change my childhood but I can start in my home. In this household we praise the Lord. All glory to God and God alone. Only Jesus Christ can save you.
@nosteponsnek959 I remember playing hide and go seek when I was in primary throughout the hallways with my siblings and other children while the grown ups had meetings.
I will go back to the BITE model which is used for cults.
I got this from Google.
"Tithing in the context of the BITE model often links to the following areas of control:
1. Behavior Control
Financial Dependence: High-control groups may compel members to give a significant portion of their income (e.g., 10%) to be in "good standing".
Prioritizing Donations: Members may be instructed to pay tithing even if they cannot afford basic necessities like food for their families.
Dependency on Group: By demanding, for example, 10% of income, members may lose financial independence, making them reliant on the group's support system if financial hardship hits, strengthening their commitment to the group."
I got this from Google as well.
"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (often referred to as the Mormon Church) is considered one of the wealthiest religious organizations in the world, with total estimated wealth approaching $293 billion as of late 2025."
Why does a wealthy organization need money from it's needy members?
Tithing is not necessary for salvation. Jesus Christ is the perfect scarifice. He is the new covenant. Only through Jesus Christ we are saved.
Hebrews 10:5-14
[5] Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;
[6] with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.
[7] Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll— I have come to do your will, my God.’ ”
[8] First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law.
[9] Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second.
[10] And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
[11] Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
[12] But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,
[13] and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool.
[14] For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
@LargeInStature_ Exposing the truth that Mormonism is a false gospel founded by a pedophile con artist that had many false teachings.
Mormons: haters
Like I said BIBLICAL. There are plenty of churches or cults which is not my focus on speaking about but they claim to be Christians but they're not biblical. Mormonism is a false gospel that is not Christianity. Biblical churches just focus on Jesus Christ. There is no ritualism, traditions, or expectations. Just about Jesus Christ. Mormonism follows the BITE model to the tee.
Mormonism/LDS follows the BITE model which is for authoritarian groups, cults, and manipulative individuals. This example follows under Emotional control.
I got this from Google on how cults use "good feelings" to manipulate members.
Authoritarian groups use emotional control to create a "bubble" of artificial happiness while making members dependent on the group for emotional regulation. Methods include:
Love Bombing: Showering new recruits or obedient members with intense affection, praise, and attention to create a rapid bond and a sense of euphoric belonging.
Inducing Euphoria: Using chanting, singing, dancing, or high-energy meetings to create intense emotional highs (e.g., feelings of spiritual ecstasy or intense love for a leader).
Positive Affirmation of Doctrine: Encouraging only "good and proper" thoughts and framing the group’s doctrine as the sole source of true happiness and fulfillment.
Conditioned Gratitude: Training members to feel intense gratitude toward the leader or group for "saving" them, often while framing the outside world as evil or dangerous.
Your feelings cannot save you! Your cult cannot save you!
Mormonism/ LDS is a false gospel that manipulates your feelings and relationships with Christ. Mormonism/LDS were founded by a false prophet Joseph Smith.
Jesus is enough! Only Jesus Christ can save you!
Proverbs 3:5-7
[5] Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
[6] in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
[7] Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.
Galatians 5: 16-18
[16] So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
[17] For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
[18] But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Jeremiah 17:7
[7] “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
Jeremiah 17:9
[9] The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
@CTRyoda@farmingandJesus Nope. That's false. I'm JUST for Jesus. That's the difference between biblical Christians and Mormons. Mormons are too focused on denominations. Jesus is enough! Only Jesus Christ can save us!
@IdleGlands I never said it was unique. I'm pointing out specifically about the Mormon cult. Biblical churches are not the same as cults like Mormonism.
@IdleGlands Jesus Christ doesn't do that. Jesus Christ is perfect. So why is a cult that is using his name for their gains and to manipulate members doing so? Stop the deflecting and stop the excuses.
