NVIDIA just dropped the Open Secure AI Alliance with 30+ heavyweights (Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Hugging Face, IBM, Palantir, Red Hat, Cisco and more).

Here’s why this matters right now:

🟩Timed perfectly after the Hugging Face incident, where a rogue autonomous AI agent caused real damage and closed tools actually slowed the response

🟩Open-weight models helped contain the attack when proprietary systems hit limits

🟩NVIDIA is putting real skin in the game, open models, weights, data + a new agent harness framework (NOOA)

🟩Broad coalition spanning hardware, cybersecurity, cloud, and open source

🟩Direct pushback against the idea that restricting open frontier AI makes us safer

The core argument is simple but powerful: Attackers already have frontier AI. Defenders need the same capability, inspectable, adaptable, and free of single points of failure.

Closed systems have their place. But in cybersecurity, opacity can become a liability the moment speed and customization matter most. This alliance is the strongest collective signal yet that the industry is choosing transparency + safeguards over pure secrecy.

Watch this space. The open vs closed debate just got a lot more real.

Who told me what your favorite video or stream was. Who told me they watched my raid guides so they could learn encounters to play more with friends. Who told me they listen to VOD's or streams as comfort content. Who told me that they laughed and shared 'favorite exotic says about you' moments with clan mates. Who told me that this game helped pull them out of a tough time in their life. Who asked if they could just shake my hand and say 'thanks.'

I appreciate every last one of you and always will. I'm not sure what the future holds for any of us, but I'll always be thankful.
