If HB3 were to be overrode and become law, KY would see a 21% increase in the number of pregnancy-related deaths.

HB 3 states that only when the pregnant individual is at some sort of health risk is when an abortion could be possible. Instead of exercising your right to choose what to do with your body, you must be sick in order to exercise it.

HB 3 would also mandate a woman who suffers a miscarriage to pay cremation or funeral fees for fetal tissue. The woman would have to literally pay and have a service of some kind for her miscarried child.

HB 3 would outlaw abortion after 15 weeks. The current KY statute is 20 weeks. If a woman is a victim of rape, sex trafficking, or incest, their right to an abortion would be gone.
