If this is the area I think it is, these trees are, at minimum, 500-1000 years old. The oldest is al Badawi, est. 5,000 years old. The Garden of Gethsemane olive trees are ~3000 years old, and these are their descendants. Colonialism’s erasure of history is ecological too
