@MontenegroLabo @ismsc2020 In the case of the molecules presented, with the exception of compound 1, I don’t think the hydrophobicity is the reason why we see issues of transport. As for compound 1, similar structures with higher clogp’s have been obtained, but still performed poorly as transporters.

Very lipophilic hydrazones (like compound 7) were pre-incorporated (stock solution added to a solution of lipids followed by evaporation of solvent and rehydration).

Less lipophilic compounds were post-incorporated (added as a solution to already formed liposomes)
