🚨 LONG POST It appears some people have made the mistake that I’m the agreeable black friend. Let me be very clear with this, taking into consideration the amounts of brain dead comments I’ve been getting the past few days. The micro aggressions and back handed remarks aren’t lost upon me, whether it’s the typical “wow you are so well spoken”, “hey I love you BUT let’s be mindful” etc etc. I will never be agreeable or compliant to bigotry or your soft launched racism or homophobia, etc. If I see bullshit on my TL, I will call it out. For too long, y’all have been laxed with the hate these marginalized groups receive. You have allowed brain dead commentary such as that one quote from Morgan Freeman “How do you stop racism? Stop talking about it” ruin your morality Scot free and it bothers tf out of me. A lot of you in the gaming/streaming speak ad nauseam about the importance of outreach, community, “being a family”, when behind closed doors y’all are some of the most bigoted pieces of shit known to man behind closed doors. Don’t care if this bothers you or not but I love ALL the marginalized groups: black people, the LGBTQ, Latinx community, Muslims, Jewish community, immigrants (whether they are legal or not), etc. whether you like it or not they belong here just as much as you and they are pivotal as to why this country has accomplished so much in our history. You know what, let’s not stop there. I love the recovering drug addict, the released convict who is trying to get back on their feet and make things right with their family, the underage single mom struggling to stay afloat, the teen that was kicked out of their house for their behavior issues, the single parent with multiple kids that tries to keep a roof over their head but misses key quality time with their kids to do so, the couple that made the hard decision to abort their pregnancy, I love them all. The difference between you and myself is that my love, my kindness, my empathy, doesn’t come with a fine print, no stipulations, no contract agreement. Even if they don’t look like me. You don’t have to like the lifestyle and culture that they choose to live, especially when I know for a fact a lot you have done things in your life you try to live down. What I will not tolerate is the borderline homo/trans phobia, xenophobia, bigotry and willful ignorance to the ongoing issues in my comments any longer. If you got a problem with it, please block me because I will continue to speak out and for these people. They’re my people too just as much as y’all WERE.
