On Saturday 11th November the Watermill Theatre will be back with their very own version of Macbeth, as you have never seen before.
Saturday is not just about Lego. There will be lots of yummy cakes on sale, so come over for elevenses, pudding or afternoon tea! (Cafe will be serving from 10am till 4pm - or till the cakes run out!)
See you there.
We are inviting you to come and help our Lego Master Builder, Caleb, to build a Lego playground for the Lego hall.
In August 1946, the playground was opened, with sandpit, three swings and two seats.
What would you like to see in the new playground?

Village Halls Week is a national campaign, shining a spotlight on the contribution England’s 10,000+ village halls make to rural communities.
It is an opportunity for you to visit your village hall, meet the hall management committee

Our current village hall cost £3,020 when it was built in 1951. This is equivalent to around £121,366 in today’s money. The village hall took a lot of effort to fundraise but was hampered by shortages of materials! Here's an extract from "The History of Bradfield Village Hall"
Caleb is back on Saturday 28th, showing us the fabulous Lego model he built and asking for us to help build the proposed new playground (in Lego, of course!). Have you ever built a Lego roundabout? Caleb (and mum) will be on hand to help.

“Why the 1950s?” we hear you ask. Well, our current village hall was opened in 1951 (72 years ago) and the Lego brick was patented in 1958. Here's the patent blue print. A brilliant decade!
