So many ways to die…
Another custom box for Kal-Arath.
This has been a really fun project - I’m very grateful to those who jumped on these.
All ten sold out in just a couple hours.
The best spy rpg ever. System is decent, tone is perfect, but the boxed adventure modules take this game way over the top of any other.
The amount of detail, maps, handouts, "eyes only" envelopes - everything to make you feel like you were a "00" getting sent on a mission.
Playing Castelnuovo 1539 by @DracoIdeas.
The Turks have penetrated the northern wall of the fortress, their Azabs and Janissaries are weakened but they have a foothold.
Their artillery has also made a breach in the east, and they have another wave of Sipahis and Azabs coming down from the north.
Spanish Pikemen and Arquebusiers need to start launching counter-attacks and push back the attackers.
I'm loving this game. It's like a "tower defence" but the defender has to be very aggressive and active in shoring up their lines. Battles are very bloody too.
Go back to a time before England was a unified kingdom.
When rival warlords from each region struggled for dominance with each other and against Vikings from beyond the sea.
Lead your Ceorls and Thegns into battle, build up great halls and churches, become the BRETWALDA!
Our game Bretwalda is a 4X strategy game for 2-4 players with incredible artwork and mechanics that encourage aggression as well as engine building.

Movement in Coalitions is governed by Envoys - cylindrical markers each power allocates from a pool of six.
To move a general, select an Envoy (1-3 cost based on distance), pay the fee in discarded envoy cylinders, then trace a path of adjacent territories respecting Diplomatic Status.
Friendly territories cost 1 envoy per step, neutral cost 2, enemy cost 3 and trigger battle if opposing units occupy the destination.
Sea lanes are Britain’s domain. Only red generals or coalition allies may traverse them, spending envoys equal to the printed arrow cost.
Upon entering an empty enemy home or disputed territory, you may place a Garrison (flipping an unused unit token) to claim control and future Influence.
Garrisons left behind can be disbanded during movement to fuel longer marches, embodying Napoleon’s historical “living off the land.”
The mechanic’s elegance is its scarcity: six envoys total means every march is a calculated risk.
Overextend and your envoy pool empties, freezing you while rivals muster fresh armies.

Hannibal is the most iconic figure of the Punic Wars, and in Punica his presence is more than symbolic. Represented by the white elephant piece, Hannibal functions as a Carthaginian Army but also grants a vital +1 bonus in battles he initiates.
This edge mirrors his tactical genius at Cannae and Trebia, where outnumbered forces inflicted devastating defeats on Rome. In a game where there are only 7-8 army pieces per side and each has a strength of 1, this bonus is decisive.
The Romans may grind down armies through attrition, but Hannibal allows for daring strikes that can shatter the balance of power in a single engagement.

Very happy that the FIVE PARSECS FROM HOME expansion COMPENDIUM just arrived!
Looking forward to digging into this, and particularly the BUG HUNT section, at the weekend.
