Yesterday, Year 1 went to Chrisp Street Market to conduct field work about an urban area. Children worked in groups to complete a traffic survey, questionnaires and sketch pictures of their surroundings.
This week, Year 1 have been learning about poetry.

Year 1 had a fantastic time as scientist on their trip at the Soanes Centre. Children learned about #woodland habitats and explored a variety of plant life as their reinforced their knowledge about what plants need to grow.

In year, children have been Learning all about our amazing bodies. In yesterdayβs lesson, children worked in groups to measure their height using handprints. After, children recorded their findings in a table and answered questions follow up questions.
Our green thumbed Y1 children went on bug hunt to find and observe different types of garden creatures. In class they learned about invertebrates and drew their favourite garden bug #gardening
Today in Year 1, children learned about the different parts of a sewing needle. They practised using a simple running stitch to outline their initials. #textiles#sew.
