I just love this little one, whose efforts to convey her need for attention are rudely - and repeatedly - interrupted by the family dog.

Babies cry for many different reasons - some more performative than others.

Watch how our hero begins her vocalization repeatedly, each time putting her plans on hold until the floor - and mom’s undivided attention - are hers.

It’s worth noting here that attention seeking is a perfectly legitimate reason for a cry at this age.

Crying is an important tool for pre verbal children - and shouldn’t be ignored just because it seems premeditated.

There’s something your little one is attempting to tell you - so don’t skimp on attention just because it’s being requested.

In fact, just the opposite.
